The crud has been going around our house for 3 weeks. Once Lucius had it, I caught it briefly for maybe 24-36 hours. I was still functional, just a bit more tired than usual. Then Trev caught it bug. It hit him much harder than Lucius. Trevor missed 2.5 days of work, only working a little from home b/c he felt so icky. When we'd begin to think Lucius was recovering, he'd have a bad day. I thought Trevor and Lucius were in the upswing this past Saturday, Labor day weekend. But on Labor Day, I felt odd. 6 hours later I'm reacquainting myself with the porcelain god. I slept a lot that day; so much that my joints ached something fierce. Lucky it seemed to only be a 12 hour bug. No one else got it either. The only think remaining is my aching belly, lack of appetite, and the feeling of a lump in my throat (like when a pill gets stuck in your throat).
In the meantime I discovered Pintrest. I made some amazing things. Unfortunate for Trevor, it was while he was sick. I made a 2-3 hour simmering spaghetti sauce. OMG! I had always heard of people cooking pasta sauce all day but I had never tried it. Mostly b/c we don't like tomato chunks and I just assumed all of them would require them. This sauce didn't have any fresh tomatoes in it...and it was amazing. I've got 2 more batches in the freezer, yay. Then I made New York's #1 cc cookie recipe. Fantastic! I'll have to figure out how to make them in a smaller size. Personally, I don't like eating one cookie and feeling like I had a full dinner. Today I'm trying out Macaroni Grill's Rosemary bread. Look me up if you're on there.
Even sickness can't keep us in. Lucius has been going to a lot more playdates (that's probably why we're sick, too). We've been attending local festivals, consignment shopping on the coast, and hanging out with Auburn alumni to watch the game. I picked up a $3 tiger costume through my mother's group, score! Looks like little man is going to be Aubie. I just have to get him to stop saying lion when I show him a tiger :)
I start bootcamp on Monday (hopefully I'm eating by then). I was curious how different I look from my running. I bet my mom will want to see it, too. Here's a photo from this past xmas and today (same shirt). My face is sure looking better. I'll be glad when the midsection gets the hint as well. I need a haircut.

You look awesome!
