an update

So... I was going to post some ultrasound pictures after my lovely cousin requested them...but after 50 minutes (can't wait to have our computer situation consolidated to one always working computer) I had to give up. Those pictures will have to wait until later (Trev gets back). I at least took the time to gather up addresses for baby shower guest lists :)

As my husband posted below, it's a BOY! I wasn't too sure how I felt about a boy, but he is making my Dr. Seuss nursery a reality, when and where we end up placing that nursery is still to be decided. I'm excited about this baby and absolutely enamored when I see how delighted Trev is. He really did do the happy dance at the dr.'s office, and in the elevator, and I would be surprised to to hear he did it through the rest of his day.

House situation...well we got an accepted offer, yesterday, but then they had to turn around and make it a short sale. So we're not sure we'll hear a final confirmation before our Labor Day deadline. In the meantime, we're lookiing at other houses (can't hurt to look). Finding out the sex of the baby has sort of made me ready to begin planning/buying and such for the baby. But it'll have to wait until we know if we're moving or not. We have no room for baby stuff at the moment. For example, Trev got put on a last minute trip to NY today and we had to go to the storage room to find all his dress clothes. So we're already living with half our stuff.

I'm still feeling good, other than tiredness. I still haven't felt him kick but saw him moving all over on the ultrasound. I've had a few pains that lasted a few hours, since Friday. My only guess is this baby doesn't kick, he burries himself into a spot. But what do I know? I've never done this before :).

So now the mystery is out, I feel there's really no big surprises to come, until actual arrival.

  1. The pain you are feeling could be your ligaments stretching (or more like getting ripped apart), which is very common. Glad you are still feeling well!

  2. hmmm...i had never considered that but I'm thinking it sounds much more likely than my hypothesis :).

  3. I had all sorts of weird aches and pains in my hips/lower back in the beginning. The doc told me it was my body "getting ready" i.e. ligaments stretching.

    So excited for you guys!
